Patong Beach is 4.5 km away, where Jungceylon shopping centre and Bangla Road are. Further afield, Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 12.2 km away and is one of the most important Buddhist temples on the island, and Phuket FantaSea, a cultural theme park, is 1.2 km away.

The Bang Wan waterfalls are close to Kamala, and Big Buddha Phuket, a large white statue on a hilltop, is also nearby. Closer to the villa, the mosque and the village of Kamala give a sense of daily life in the area, and the night market is an easy evening outing.
