Reezq Hostel

Rooms at Reezq Hostel range from shared dormitory beds to private doubles with a queen bed for two guests. Several rooms have air conditioning and a private bathroom, while in some dormitory rooms the bathroom is shared with other guests.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and the rooms come with toiletries, linens, towels and free bottled water. Some rooms have a desk, a mirror, a private entrance and satellite and cable channels on the TV.

Reezq Hostel sits on Soi Phetchaburi 5 in Ratchathewi, a central district of Bangkok that forms part of the wider Siam area. The streets around it mix shopping centres, temples and small local shops, with a mosque and a church close by. It is a lively part of the city, where the skytrain and the large shopping malls are never far away.

The Ratchathewi BTS station, 500 m from the hotel, gives a skytrain link across central Bangkok. Jim Thompson House, the former home of an American silk entrepreneur that is now a museum, is 650 m away and is one of the area's best-known sights. Further afield, the Grand Palace is 4.1 km away, in the old royal city, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market is 5.4 km away, a large market open at weekends.

A good first day could start at Jim Thompson House, then take the skytrain to the Siam shopping district, and end with a visit to the old city, reached by taxi from the hotel. Temples, museums and markets are spread across the city, and the BTS helps link the stops together. The Siam shopping area is a short skytrain ride from the hotel, and its malls are open into the evening.
