A pier in the village is a short walk from the resort, and Wat Pa Sang Tham, a Buddhist temple on the island, is 2.4 km away. Car hire and bicycles are offered, which is useful for reaching the rest of the island. The village's pier and beach are the easiest places to start an exploration on foot.

Samui Airport is 27.5 km away on the neighbouring island of Ko Samui, so the last part of the trip is by boat. Surat Thani Airport is 120.1 km away on the mainland. For a day out, the Phangan Safari zoo and the island's beaches are worth a visit, and the coastal walks around the bay are short, so divers will find the village a practical base because it has dive operators nearby.
