Having your own transport makes it easy to reach them, since the island is linked by road. The ferry terminal at Chalong Pier is also close by, for boats to the islands nearby.

A good day could start at the Big Buddha in the morning, continue with a swim at Chalong Beach, and end the evening at the local night market nearby. For a longer outing, Patong, 9.1 km away, is the island's best-known resort area, and Phuket International Airport is 33.2 km away.
