This part of the city is a mix of apartment blocks, offices and malls, and the soi itself is quiet, away from the main roads. Ratchada is known for its nightlife, its street food and the Ratchada train night market, a lively place to eat in the evening.

Getting around is simple: the Lat Phrao 71 MRT Station is 200 m away, and Wang Thong Park lies a short walk from the property. Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest weekend markets in the city, is 6.3 km away and sells clothes, plants and food from hundreds of stalls on Saturdays and Sundays. The Grand Palace is 13 km away, and Wat Arun, on the Chao Phraya riverbank, is a short ride across the river from the old city.

A day can start at Chatuchak Weekend Market and end back in Ratchada for street food and the night market. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun are a good pair for a morning in the old city, and Don Mueang International Airport is 13.9 km away for travellers who arrive or leave by air.
