A full day could begin at the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, then move on to the riverside temples across the water. Chatuchak Weekend Market, 6.7 km away, is a large market that operates at weekends and sells clothes, food and plants, so a Saturday or Sunday morning is the best time to go.
