A day out could start at Chatuchak Weekend Market, a large weekend market in northern Bangkok, and continue to the temples of the old city. The Grand Palace, Wat Arun on the Chao Phraya riverbank and Wat Phra Chetuphon are the best-known sights there, and the Asiatique riverfront complex is also on the river. Because the old city is some distance from the hotel, it makes sense to pick one or two sights for each day.
