The side lanes hold many small eateries, massage places and shops, and the district is busy through the working day with its streets lively again in the evening, so the hotel sits in a busy part of the city rather than on a residential street, with office workers, shoppers and visitors on the pavements during the day.

The metro and skytrain are the main way to reach the rest of the city, and both stations are close to the hotel: Si Lom MRT station is 200 m away on the Blue Line, and Sala Daeng BTS station is 350 m away on the Silom Line. Patpong Museum is also nearby, while Siam Paragon, a large shopping mall in the Pathum Wan district, is 2.2 km away. For the old royal quarter of Rattanakosin, the Grand Palace is 5.5 km away.

A day out could start at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, a large market in northern Bangkok that runs on weekends and is 8.1 km from the hotel, and finish back in Silom, where the hotel is close to two stations.
