Every room has air conditioning and soundproofing, so the rooms stay cool and quiet after a day exploring Bangkok's heat and traffic. The air conditioning runs in the public areas too.

Quinstel Hostel sits in the Khlong Ton Sai district on Bangkok's Riverside, a stretch of the city where temples, mosques and riverside piers line the Chao Phraya. The lanes are calmer than the main shopping streets, and both the river and the skytrain are close at hand. Walking down the lane brings you to the ferry piers and the street vendors of the main road, while several temples are within a short walk.

The skytrain is the easiest way around: Charoen Nakhon BTS station is 450 m away, and Saphan Taksin station is a short walk further on, linking to the Silom business district. Wat Arun, the temple with a tall prang, is 3.2 km away, and the Grand Palace, the royal complex in the old city, is 3.6 km away. Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, sits in the same complex as the Grand Palace.

A good day can start at Asiatique The Riverfront, a complex of shops and restaurants on the water, 2.2 km away, and continue to Khaosan Road, the lively backpacker street of the old city. ICONSIAM, the large riverside mall, is a short walk from the property, and in the evening the riverside walk at Asiatique is a pleasant way to end a day of sightseeing. Wat Suwan, the temple nearby, makes an easy first stop.
