Jungceylon Shopping Center, a large mall with shops and restaurants, is 1.5 km away. Karon Beach, 2.4 km away, is the next beach along the coast. For the island's temples, Chaithararam Temple, better known as Wat Chalong, is 5.5 km away and is one of Phuket's most important Buddhist sites, while the Big Buddha statue stands on a hilltop nearby.

A good day could begin on Patong Beach, continue with a visit to Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha, and return to Patong in the evening for the night market and the nightlife of Bangla Road. The beach is the easiest place to start, while the temples are farther and are easiest to reach by taxi or car.
