Phurirak Homestay

Every room at Phurirak Homestay has air conditioning and a private bathroom. The rooms range from a Deluxe Twin Room with two single beds to a Family Room of 50 m² that sleeps up to eight guests on four queen beds. The Double Room of 30 m² has a double bed, and the Queen Room with Garden View of 25 m² has a queen bed.

Most rooms also have a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle, a refrigerator and a coffee and tea maker, and bottled water is provided free of charge. The Double Room and the Family Room have a dining table, and the Queen Room with Garden View has a balcony or terrace.

The garden is the main shared space at Phurirak Homestay, with paths through tropical planting, shaded spots and open grass for picnics and games. A terrace is also available.

Air conditioning covers the public areas as well as the rooms, and the property is smoke-free. Family rooms are available for groups.

Ban Ta Khun is a quiet rural district of Surat Thani province, in southern Thailand, away from the busy beach towns of the coast. The landscape is forest, hills and reservoir water, a green setting for travellers who want to slow down. It suits a quiet stay away from the coast, where the main sights are natural ones: the water, the forest and the hills around the dam.

The Ratchaprapha Dam is 2.4 km away, and the Ratchaprapa Forest Park lies 850 m from the property. Cheow Lan Lake, 4.1 km away, is the reservoir that the dam holds back, and boat trips on its water are a common way to see the limestone cliffs along the shore. Ratchaprapa Forest Park is the nearest green area, and a campsite is also nearby for those who want to spend a night outdoors.

For a day out, combine a boat trip on the lake with a stop at the viewpoint over the water, and plan the rest of the day around the forest paths. Surat Thani Airport is 40.5 km away, and the Khiri Ratthanikhom train station is 16.1 km away. Evenings are best spent back at the homestay, in the garden.
