Nakhon Nayok itself is a modest provincial town, so most of the appeal lies in the countryside around it, and the place suits a slower pace than the capital.

Khao Yai National Park, a large forest reserve with walking trails and wildlife, lies 17.5 km away and is a longer excursion from the house. Closer, Wat Tham Sarika, a Buddhist temple, is 2.3 km away and Sarika Waterfall is 2.9 km away. The waterfalls of the area make a natural daytime stop, and the temple is a short drive from the house.

A day could begin with the waterfalls and the temple, then continue to the Khun Dan Prakarn Chon Dam, 4.2 km away, a large reservoir dam. Theng Thoet Thoeng Market, 7.6 km away, is a local market for fresh food and everyday goods, and it is useful for stocking the kitchen. A car is the practical way to get around, since the sights are spread across the area, and guests with time to spare can plan a full day in Khao Yai National Park. The forest paths around the waterfalls are a good contrast to the roads.
