The Lard Yai Sunday Night Market, 450 m away, is the Sunday evening market of the old town. Phuket International Airport is 26.7 km away, and a local bus station is close by for trips around town.

A day out could start at Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), 7.7 km away and one of the island's most important temples, before heading to Patong Beach, 10.7 km away, the island's best-known beach area. Back in the Old Town, the Sunday market and the streets of old shophouses make a good end to the day. The streets are best seen on foot, with the museums and temples close together.
