Phuket Chinoinn

Talat Nuea is one of the old quarters of Phuket Town, the island's main town and provincial capital, where Sino-Portuguese shophouses and temples stand close to the streets. The hotel is a base for exploring the town itself rather than a beach resort, and the Phuket Old Town, with its old buildings and museums, lies in the same part of town.

Monkey Hill is 100 m from the hotel, and the Phuket Downtown Market and the Peranakan Museum on Thalang Road are close by. Wat Chalong, one of the best-known Buddhist temples on the island, is 6.4 km away, and a local bus station is also nearby for trips around the town and its surroundings. Shrines, temples and small museums are scattered through the old town, which can be reached on foot from the hotel.

For a day at the sea, Patong Beach is 10.2 km away, with its bars, restaurants and night life, and Karon and Kata beaches lie a little further. Phuket International Airport (HKT) is 27.4 km away, and most beaches and temples on the island are easier to reach by car or scooter than on foot. Phuket Town's old streets make a good walk for a morning out.
