Phangan Pearl Hostel

Phangan Pearl Hostel has dormitory beds on bunk beds, including a 25 m² mixed dormitory and a 22 m² female dormitory, both with air conditioning and a shared bathroom.

A 14 m² double room sleeps up to three guests, and a 22 m² superior double room with a city view and a 22 m² superior twin room also sleep up to three. A 20 m² quadruple room sleeps up to five, and a quadruple bunk bed room sleeps up to seven.

Phangan Pearl Hostel has an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre, along with a shared lounge/TV area, an elevator and restaurants. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and Wi-Fi also covers the public areas.

Practical services include luggage storage, lockers, laundry and dry cleaning, express check-in and check-out, and daily housekeeping. Taxi services are available, and ticket services and tours can be arranged. The business centre offers Xerox and fax services, and cash withdrawal is possible.

English and Thai are spoken, and there is air conditioning in the public areas. Free parking and parking nearby are also available, and internet services and wireless internet access are offered as well.

Phangan Pearl Hostel sits in Haad Rin, the lively beach area of Ko Pha-ngan, known for the Full Moon Party held on its sand each month, with bars and resorts along the shore. The hostel is on Haad Rin Nai Road in Baan Tai, a few hundred metres from the sand, so the beach and the area's nightlife are close at hand. The neighbourhood also has a dive operator, Phangan Divers, for those who want to explore the sea.

The Haad Rin Queen ferry terminal is 200 m from the hostel, and the beaches of Haad Rin Nok and Haad Rin Nai are about 500 m away. A shrine close to the hostel, dedicated to Luang Pu Thuat, is one of the local landmarks in the area. Ko Pha-ngan has no airport, so arrivals come by boat from Ko Samui or the mainland; Samui Airport on the neighbouring island of Ko Samui is 14.1 km away across the water.

For a day out, Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach is 10.3 km away, and Salad Beach is 15.8 km from the hostel. Boat trips to nearby islands can be disrupted when the sea is rough in the rainy months, so it is worth checking the sea conditions before setting out.
