Phangan Barsay Hostel

Phangan Barsay Hostel offers dormitory rooms with bunk beds or single beds, alongside standard rooms with a shared bathroom. Rooms can have air conditioning, a shower and toiletries, and the 20 m² mixed dormitory has a balcony or terrace. The 30 m² dormitory with bunk beds is set up for one guest.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. The standard rooms include a 12 m² room with a shared bathroom for up to five guests, and the 32 m² mixed dorm sleeps up to two guests. Dormitory guests share their rooms with other travellers. Lockers and safety deposit boxes are available at the hostel for guests' belongings.

Phangan Barsay Hostel is in Thong Sala, the main town on Ko Pha-ngan and a busy harbour area where the island's ferry pier and markets are found. The streets around the hostel have shops, food stalls and small businesses, typical of a working island town, and several Muay Thai gyms are part of the neighbourhood.

Within a short distance you find Wat Rat Charoen, a pagoda, and Phantip Market, a local market. The Chinese Temple and the Monument to King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) are close by, and the HTMS Phangan 713 Warship Museum is 700 m away. The Ko Pha-ngan Pier, 850 m away, is the island's link to boats from the mainland and nearby islands. The bay of Ao Bang Charu, a beach, lies nearby, and Koh Phangan Public Park is an easy stop for a walk.

The island has no bridge, so the last part of the journey is by boat, and Samui Airport (USM) on Koh Samui is about 19.9 km away. Surat Thani Airport on the mainland is 113.1 km away, further than Samui. A day could begin at the market and the pagoda, continue with a Muay Thai session, and end with a walk through the town's streets.
