Penpark Place

The rooms at Penpark Place include double, twin and triple rooms, along with the Deluxe Two Bedroom, which offers 46 m² of space. Most rooms look out over the city or the garden, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Depending on the room, guests find a private bathroom with a shower and hair dryer, and some rooms also have a kettle and a refrigerator.

Some rooms offer a choice of bed set-ups, so the sleeping arrangement depends on the room you book. Blackout curtains, a closet and an openable window are available in several rooms, and the Superior Triple Room and the Deluxe Double Bed Room each sleep up to three guests. Air conditioning is in several rooms as well.

Penpark Place has a 24-hour front desk, free parking on site and free Wi-Fi in all rooms and public areas. Guests can leave their bags in luggage storage, use the laundry service and make use of the business facilities, where Xerox and fax services are available. Penpark Place sits on Samsen Road in the Khaosan area of Bangkok, in the old Phra Nakhon district, where backpacker guesthouses, street-food stalls and small shops line the lanes. The neighbourhood is lively in the evening, but the streets a few turns away are quieter, with temples, old houses and the river. Guests who want to explore the old city on foot can return to one of these quieter streets at night.

Khaosan Road, the best-known strip of the area, is 750 m away, and the Rama 8 Bridge ferry pier is 200 m from the hotel on the Chao Phraya riverside. Two of the city's top sights are close by: the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), at 1.7 km, and The Grand Palace, 1.9 km away in the same old city. Nearby, Wat Sangwet Witsayaram and Phra Sumen Fort are small landmarks to walk past while you explore.

A good day could start with a morning at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, then a walk back along the river to the Rama 8 Bridge pier to take a ferry across the Chao Phraya. In the evening, Khaosan Road is lively with street-food stalls. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is a longer trip across town, while the Bang Yi Khan MRT station gives access to the metro network for trips further into the city.
