Payaq House

At Payaq House, the accommodation is a 48 m² holiday home for up to four guests, with air conditioning, a television, a hair dryer, toiletries and linens provided.

The bathroom is en suite, and the space includes a desk for working and a choice of bed set-ups. Air conditioning keeps the space cool after a day of sightseeing in the old city.

The streets nearby hold guesthouses, street food stalls and small shops, and in the evening the area fills with visitors who come to eat, drink and wander the lanes. For travellers who want to be on foot among the old city's temples, markets and riverside, this is a practical place to stay.

The Giant Swing stands 300 m from the holiday home, in front of Wat Suthat, a major royal temple of the old city. The Grand Palace is 1.1 km away, and Wat Arun, the Temple of the Dawn, is 1.7 km away on the Thonburi bank of the Chao Phraya. Wat Pho, with its large reclining Buddha, lies close to the Grand Palace and makes a useful stop between the two.

A good day could begin at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, continue with the cross-river ferry to Wat Arun, and end on Khaosan Road in the evening. The Sam Yot MRT station is 850 m from the property, a practical link for travel to other parts of the city when you want to go further afield.
