Patong is the best-known beach resort on Phuket, a lively town of restaurants, bars and markets built around a wide bay. The roads between the main streets and the sand are lined with restaurants, bars and street food stalls, which keeps the area busy into the evening, and many of the town's daily routines happen on the streets. The seafront is the town's main draw, and the streets around it hold many of the restaurants and bars.

Patong Beach is 1.6 km from the apartment, and Bangla Road, the street best known for its bars and nightlife, is 1.7 km away. Jungceylon Shopping Center, 1.5 km off, is a large shopping mall, and Patong Boxing Stadium, a Muay Thai venue, is close by. Freedom Beach, Kata Beach and Karon Beach lie further along the coast, quieter stretches of sand.

For a day out, combine the beach with Phuket FantaSea, a large cultural theme park and show, or with Wat Chalong, Phuket's best-known Buddhist temple, which is 6.4 km away. The Big Buddha, a large seated statue on a hilltop, is 7.9 km from the apartment. A temple visit gives a quieter side of Phuket beyond the bars and the beach.
