Patong is Phuket's best-known beach district, on the Andaman coast, where a long bay of sand runs beside streets lined with restaurants, bars and shops. The mood changes after dark, when the evening markets and the nightlife take over the streets. As the day turns into night, the area becomes a busy hub of street markets, bars and restaurants serving Thai and international food. The home is on Soi Sansabai, and the beach, the night market and the nightlife streets are all a short walk away.

Patong Beach is 700 m from the home, and Bangla Road, the street of bars, clubs and nightlife, is 500 m away. Jungceylon shopping centre is also close by, and a hospital, a convenience store and an ATM are within a few hundred metres of the house. Phuket International Airport is 24.2 km away, and the island is linked to the mainland by a bridge.

A day out could begin with Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), 6.5 km away, one of Phuket's most important temples, and continue to the hilltop Big Buddha, 7.5 km away. Back in Patong, the evening can be spent at the Banzaan fresh market, which runs at night, and along Bangla Road.
