Nana BTS station is 100 m away and Phloen Chit BTS station 650 m, so the skytrain is the simplest way to reach the rest of the city. Phloen Chit is a busy shopping and business district, so its station is a useful alternative. Siam Paragon, a large shopping mall in the Siam district, is 2.2 km away, and Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum built by the American entrepreneur who revived the Thai silk industry, is 3 km away.

For a day of sightseeing, the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, on the bank of the Chao Phraya river, are about 7 km away, while the sprawling Chatuchak Weekend Market lies further north and is open on weekends. The skytrain does not reach the old city, so taxis are the usual way to get there from Sukhumvit.
