Jim Thompson House, the former home of the Thai silk pioneer, is also a visit worth making, while the Chatuchak Weekend Market and the riverside Asiatique The Riverfront development lie further out. Sam Yot MRT station is 1.2 km away for trips further into the city, and the hotel is reached by road from the two airports: Don Mueang International Airport is 20.5 km away and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 27.8 km.

A good day here can start at the Grand Palace and the temples, then move on to Khaosan Road in the evening. Jim Thompson House is a quieter stop for the afternoon, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market is best kept for a separate day, since it is a long way from the old city.
