Pantip Suites offers suites in several layouts, from family suites with two bedrooms and a one-bedroom deluxe suite to larger suites with king beds or twin beds. Jim Thompson House, a teak-built museum of Thai silk and art, is 3.6 km away, and the Grand Palace, the royal complex of the old city, is 6.6 km away. Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest markets in the city, is open only at weekends and is a longer trip from Sathorn. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 22.4 km away, so the airport trip is a drive rather than a short ride.

A full day could start at the Grand Palace and continue to Wat Arun, the temple across the river from the Grand Palace. Asiatique - The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and night market, makes an easy evening stop on the river, and it is a good way to end a day of temples and museums.
