A day out could combine Ban Po Beach with a visit to the Big Buddha and a stop at Nathon Pier, which is handy for boat trips to the mainland. Fisherman's Village in Bophut is another easy stop for an afternoon, and a car or scooter is useful for reaching the waterfall and the beaches on the other side of the island.
