The Thong Lo BTS Station is 1.6 km from the hotel, so the skytrain is the quickest way to reach the central shopping districts. Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre with cinemas and an aquarium, is 5.2 km away, and the Jim Thompson House, a museum of traditional Thai houses, is 5.9 km away. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is 7.7 km away, and the Grand Palace is 9.9 km away in the old city.

A day could start at Chatuchak, a huge market that is busiest at weekends, and then continue to the old city for the royal complex and the riverside temples. The old city and the river are easiest reached by taxi, or by skytrain and a river boat. Wat Arun stands on the bank of the Chao Phraya river, so a visit to the temple can be paired with the Grand Palace in the same outing, with the river as a link between them. Jim Thompson House is a quieter stop, with traditional houses set among gardens and a collection of Asian art.
