Siam Paragon is a large shopping centre in the Siam district, and Jim Thompson House is a teak-house museum with Thai silk and art. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun are further away, on the Chao Phraya river. Don Mueang International Airport is 19 km away and is reached by taxi or by road.

A good first day could start at Jim Thompson House, continue to Siam Paragon for shopping and lunch, and end at the Neon Night Bazaar, a short distance from the hotel, for food and stalls in the evening. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun, both on the Chao Phraya river, are a good way to spend a day, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market is worth a visit at weekends.
