Close by are Wat Suan Phlu, a pagoda in the Bang Rak streets, and the Sri Mahamariamman Temple, a Hindu temple on Silom Road. The Surasak and Saphan Taksin BTS stations on the Silom line carry you to other parts of the city, and the Oriental and Sathon piers on the river are also nearby for boat trips along the Chao Phraya. The Bangkokian Museum is also in the area.

The Grand Palace, about 4.3 km away, and Wat Arun, on the Thonburi bank of the Chao Phraya, make a full day of temples, and the river boats can take you between them.
