The Banzaan Fresh Market runs a night market with food stalls, and Kalim Beach, another stretch of sand, is 1.5 km away. Phuket International Airport is 23.8 km away, and the longer trips across the island are made by road.

A good day could start on Patong Beach, continue to Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, one of the island's most important temples, and end with dinner at the Banzaan night market. Karon Beach and Kata Beach are the next beaches along the coast, reached by road, and both are a useful choice for a quieter afternoon away from the Patong crowds.
