Outback1990

All rooms at Outback1990 have air conditioning, and their sizes range from 27 to 32 m². The accommodation covers mixed and female dormitory rooms with single beds, a basic triple room with a shared bathroom, a double room with a queen bed, and a comfort triple room with a shower. The basic triple and the budget double sleep up to four guests, and the comfort triple up to three.

Some rooms have a city view and others a mountain view, and the female dormitory rooms have a balcony or terrace. Shared bathrooms serve the basic triple, the budget double and the female dormitory rooms. Private bathrooms with showers come with the mixed dormitory room and the comfort triple.

The hostel has a bar, restaurants, a coffee shop and food delivery, and there is a 24-hour front desk. A convenience store, currency exchange, cash withdrawal, lockers and daily housekeeping are also available.

Haad Rin is a busy beach village on Ko Pha-ngan, an island reached by boat, and it is best known for the monthly Full Moon Party held on its sand. Bars, beach restaurants and small guesthouses line the streets behind the shore, and the village is small enough to explore on foot. The area is lively rather than quiet, with the island's social life centred on the beach.

Haad Rin Nok, the village's main beach, is 400 m away, and the Haad Rin Viewpoint, a hillside lookout over the bay, is 650 m from the property. The Haad Rin Queen ferry terminal is close by, so boat trips are easy to plan. For a calmer day by the sea, Thong Nai Pan Yai is a quieter beach farther round the island.

A good day here could combine a diving or snorkelling trip with a walk up to the viewpoint, or a visit to Ao Chaloklum Bay, 14.5 km away, which is known for its diving. Samui Airport (USM) is 14.1 km from the property, on Ko Samui, so reaching Ko Pha-ngan involves a boat crossing. The bars and beach restaurants of Haad Rin make a good evening after a day on the water.
