Its streets are residential and quiet by Bangkok standards. The Bang Wa ferry terminal on the river is also nearby, so boats are an option alongside the metro.

Bang Wa MRT Station is 600 m away, and the Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen temple is 650 m away, so temple visits and metro rides can be combined in a single day. Wat Kho Non, a pagoda, and Kanlapaphruek Park are also close by. Wat Arun, a riverside temple with a tall prang on the Thonburi bank, is 4.9 km away, and the Grand Palace is 5.5 km away.

A day could start at Wat Kho Non and continue to Wat Arun, then on to the Grand Palace in the Rattanakosin district, the historic core of Bangkok. Asiatique, a riverside night market and shopping complex, makes a good evening stop. Don Mueang International Airport is 27.3 km away, the nearest airport to the apartment. Between visits, the riverside and the local markets around Bang Wa give a good sense of everyday Bangkok life.
