One Deves

The rooms at One Deves include queen, twin and double layouts, along with a family suite that sleeps up to four guests. Rooms can have air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower, a hair dryer and a kettle, and some have a flat-screen TV, blackout curtains or a coffee and tea maker.

The family suite is 32 m² and has two single beds and a bunk bed. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and daily housekeeping is provided. Some rooms have a street view, and the deluxe double room has a balcony or terrace along with a separate shower and bathtub.

Guests can use the airport transfer and the shuttle service, and free parking is available on site. Luggage storage, dry cleaning, a laundromat and laundry service are all available, and the hotel provides daily housekeeping.

Breakfast can be ordered à la carte or as a continental or western breakfast, with a breakfast takeaway service also available. A vending machine, bottled water and food delivery round out the food choices.

One Deves is on Thewet Soi 2, a side street off Krung Kasem Road in the Phra Nakorn district of Bangkok. This is the historic centre of the city, with old temples, royal palaces and canal-side markets, and the Chao Phraya river runs close by, with Thewet Pier 250 m from the hotel. Visitors who come for temples, palaces and river views will find plenty to see within a short distance.

Khaosan Road, the backpacker street known for its guesthouses and street food, is 1.1 km away. The Grand Palace is 2.3 km from the hotel, and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Kaew, stands in the same complex. Wat Phra Chetuphon, known for its giant reclining Buddha, and Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, on the far bank of the river, are a little further.

Taxis and tuk-tuks cover the longer trips, and the river pier is within walking distance. Both airports are a longer journey away: Don Mueang is 19.6 km away and Suvarnabhumi is 27.9 km. A good day could start at the Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha, continue to Wat Arun by river boat, and end on Khaosan Road in the evening, when the street comes alive.
