O.P. Bungalow

O.P. Bungalow has a mix of rooms and bungalows, and several of them have a garden view. Free WiFi is available in all rooms, and the rooms can have blackout curtains, an in-room safe box, a mini bar, a refrigerator, a seating area and a balcony or terrace. The bungalows and garden rooms are set in the hotel's grounds.

The Garden Room, the Deluxe Room and the Deluxe Bungalow all measure 36 m² and have a garden view and air conditioning, and each can be set up with a choice of bed set-ups. The Double Standard sleeps up to five guests, and the Bungalow sleeps up to three.

Meals are covered by the restaurants, the bar and room service, and breakfast can be Asian, buffet or continental, with a breakfast takeaway service and food delivery as well. Massage is also offered, and family rooms are available.

Tours can be arranged, and motorised and non-motorised water sports are available. Car hire and an airport transfer are offered, and dry cleaning, laundry and daily housekeeping are available. A doctor or nurse is on call, and ticket services are offered too.

Parking is free on site, and free WiFi covers all rooms as well as the public areas. The property has 24-hour security, a laptop safe box and satellite or cable channels, and English and Thai are spoken by the staff.

Chaweng is the lively beach area of Koh Samui, with a long sandy shore and bars and street-food stalls along the roads behind it. O.P. Bungalow is in this area, which is useful for travellers who want the island's busiest stretch of sand close by. The quieter parts of the island are reachable by road, though they lie further out.

Chaweng Yai Beach is 750 m away, and the Night Market is also close, with its evening stalls. Samui Airport is 1.8 km away, the nearest airport to the property. Big Buddha, a large seated Buddha statue on a hill above Bo Phut, is 4.3 km away, and the Samui Crocodile Farm, a zoo with crocodiles, is also nearby. Chaweng Noi Beach, a quieter stretch of sand, can also be reached by road. A car, scooter or taxi is the easiest way to reach the sights further out.

A good day out is to visit Big Buddha in the morning and then spend the evening at Fisherman's Village, the old harbour quarter of Bo Phut. Wat Plai Laem, with its large Guanyin statue beside a lake, is another temple worth adding to the route, and Na Muang Waterfall, in the island's interior, makes a good trip inland.
