A day could combine the Big Buddha and Wat Chalong with an afternoon at Karon Beach, 2.9 km away, and an evening on Bangla Road. For a different kind of evening, Phuket FantaSea, the big cultural show, is 8 km away. Phuket's airport and the Patong area are both on the island, so the journey from the airport is by road, with no boat needed for the last stretch. Bangla Road is also the easiest place to finish an evening, with bars open late and plenty of food nearby.
