Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre with cinemas and an aquarium, is 2.4 km away, and the Jim Thompson House museum, which displays Thai silk and art, is 3.2 km away.

A day could begin at the Grand Palace and Wat Arun on the Chao Phraya river, both reached by taxi, and continue to the Chatuchak Weekend Market, which is open at weekends. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is a large maze of stalls selling clothes, crafts and food, and a taxi is the simplest way to return to Sukhumvit afterwards, since the market lies well outside the central tourist districts. In the evening, Soi Cowboy, a well-known nightlife street, is 1 km away, and it is a short way from the apartment for a night out after the sights.
