New Siam Riverside

The rooms at New Siam Riverside come with double, twin, triple and king beds, and they sleep up to three guests. Some look out onto the Chao Phraya River, others onto the city or the garden, so the view depends on the room you book.

The river is a short walk from the hotel, and the old city's temples and palaces are all reached from the same riverside streets.

Khaosan Road, the well-known street of bars, street food and budget guesthouses, is 550 m away. The Grand Palace is 1.3 km from the hotel, and Wat Arun, the temple with a tall prang on the far bank of the Chao Phraya, is 2.1 km away. Phra Arthit Pier, 150 m from the hotel, is a river boat pier, and the Jim Thompson House, the former home of silk entrepreneur Jim Thompson, is about 4 km away.

A day here could begin at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, continue by boat across the river to Wat Arun, and end with a drink on Khaosan Road or along Phra Athit Road. Siam Paragon and the Chatuchak Weekend Market lie further from the old city, so they are best saved for a separate outing.
