Wat Chalong, one of the most revered Buddhist temples on Phuket, is 4.9 km away, and Patong Beach is 6.7 km away. Nai Harn Beach and Freedom Beach are also reachable by road, and Phuket FantaSea, a cultural theme park with an evening show, is reachable the same way. Phuket International Airport is 31.7 km away by road, and the journey from there is made on the island's main roads.

A relaxed day could start with a swim at Kata Beach, a morning visit to Wat Chalong and an afternoon at the Big Buddha, then an evening at the Kata Walking Street Night Market. Those who prefer nightlife can head to Bangla Road in Patong, the island's best-known street of bars.
