Naga Residence stands in the Bangkok Riverside area of Klongsan, close to the Chao Phraya river and the piers that serve it. The neighbourhood mixes riverside piers and older streets with newer shopping and dining, so it is a practical base for seeing both the river and the old city. Street-food stalls and small shops line the streets around the piers.

Saphan Taksin BTS station is 550 m away, linking the hotel to the Skytrain network, and the nearby Taksin Pier serves the river boats that run along the Chao Phraya. Asiatique - The Riverfront, a riverside dining and shopping complex, is 1.6 km away. Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, can be reached by river boat, and Assumption Cathedral and the Bangkokian Museum, a small museum on the history of old Bangkok, are also nearby.

A day could start at the Grand Palace, 4.1 km away, which is next to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and continue to the Jim Thompson House, a museum set in traditional Thai houses. The airports are farther out, with Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) 24.1 km away. Chatuchak Weekend Market is a longer trip, so it is best planned as a separate outing.
