Most of the historic sights are within walking distance, and Santichaiprakan Park is 50 m from the hotel for a quieter moment between visits.

Khaosan Road is 650 m from the hotel, a backpacker street of guesthouses and bars. The Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) are both within a short walk, and The Giant Swing and Wat Suthat lie 300 m away. Across the Chao Phraya River, Wat Arun sits at 1.5 km, and Sam Yot MRT Station is close by for trips further afield.

A good day here starts at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, continues with a walk to The Giant Swing and Wat Suthat, and ends on Khaosan Road in the evening. Wat Arun is reached by ferry across the river, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market is best kept for a separate day, since it is farther out.
