Wang Lang Pier is right beside the hotel, and Wang Lang Market sits next to the same landing, with food stalls and ferry boats around the piers. The Grand Palace is 800 m away across the river, and Wat Arun, the temple with its tall prang, is 1.3 km away on the same bank. Sanam Chai MRT Station is 1.6 km away for the metro, and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 29.4 km away.

A good day starts at the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which sit in the same complex, and continues to Wat Arun. Ferries from the piers next door make it easy to switch banks, and the old city's temples are a short trip away by water. Back on the Thonburi side the evenings are calmer than the crowds across the river.
