Moondance House

The house measures 81 m² and sleeps up to six guests. Air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite and cable channels, and a private bathroom with a shower are part of the accommodation, and toiletries, towels and linens are provided.

Guests also find an electric kettle and cleaning products, and the kitchen has a stove, a microwave and a refrigerator. A hair dryer is available for the bathroom.

The kitchen is well equipped, with a refrigerator, a freezer, a stove, a microwave, dishes and dining utensils, and children's dinnerware. A washer is available, and air conditioning and ceiling or portable fans keep the house cool, with a TV and cable channels.

Guests get towels, linens, toiletries, a hair dryer, cleaning supplies and an iron, and there is a closet and a desk or workspace for guests who need to work during the day. The house has a private entrance and keyless access, and 24-hour security is on the premises.

Kitchen basics such as cookware, oils and condiments are provided, alongside the freezer, and the washer means laundry can be done in the house.

Moondance House is in Yaowarat, the Chinatown district of Samphanthawong, where narrow lanes, old shophouses and markets sell gold, herbal medicine and fresh fruit and vegetables beside food vendors. The neighbourhood's street life is close at hand, and Sampeng Lane, a long market street of fabrics, accessories and toys, is close by as well.

Yaowarat Road, the main street, turns into a food street in the evening, and the Khlong Ong Ang Walking Street market is 350 m away. The Sam Yot MRT station is 450 m from the house, and the metro connects it to other districts of the city. Khaosan Road, a lively street of bars and food stalls, is 2 km away, while the Grand Palace is 1.7 km away and Wat Arun, on the Chao Phraya riverbank, is 1.8 km away.

A day can start among the lanes and markets, move to the stalls on Yaowarat Road after dark and take in Wat Mangkon Kamalawat, a temple where locals and visitors pay their respects. The royal palace and the riverside temples lie across the old city, so they are a separate trip from the house. During Chinese New Year the streets fill with dragon dances and parades.
