Monpai Resort

All the rooms at Monpai Resort measure 30 m² and have a double bed for up to two guests. Each one has a garden view and a balcony or terrace, and some have air conditioning while others are cooled by a fan. Bathrooms are private in some rooms and shared in others.

Free bottled water is provided in every room, and free Wi-Fi is available in all of them. The garden outside the rooms is a green space for a rest between the town's markets and temples, and the rooms are a practical base for exploring Ranong at your own pace.

Monpai Resort is in the town of Ranong, the capital of the province of the same name on Thailand's Andaman coast in the south of the country. Ranong is a working provincial town rather than a beach resort, so its appeal lies in the daily life of its streets, markets and waterfront, and in a view of everyday southern Thailand that a resort rarely offers.

Much of the interest is close to the hotel. The Ranong Municipal Fresh Market and the Rattana Rangsarn Palace are both within 850 m, and the Rattana Rangsarn Throne Hall and the City Pillar Shrine are also close by. The Wat Suwan Khiri Wihan temple, with its pagoda, lies a little further on, and the Raksa Warin hot springs, set in an arboretum park, are 2.7 km away. Ranong Airport is 22.1 km from the hotel, while the Ranong Provincial Transport Station is 1.8 km away.

A full day can begin at the fresh market, continue with a visit to the palace and the temple, and end in the afternoon with a soak at the Raksa Warin hot springs. The hot springs are a quiet contrast to the busy town streets and a good way to finish the day.
