Sam Yot MRT station is 500 m from the property, and Khaosan Road, the backpacker street, is 1.2 km away.

A good day starts at the Grand Palace and the temples beside it, then moves to Wat Arun on the river, and ends with food and drinks on Khaosan Road in the evening. The Museum of Siam, on the same side of the old city, is an easy stop for anyone interested in Thai history. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is much further north and is better planned as a separate day, since it takes a long trip across the city to reach.
