Ming Resort Phuket

The accommodation at Ming Resort Phuket is made up of private villas with three, four or five bedrooms. Some villas have a pool view, others a garden view, and some have a bathtub in the bathroom. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, so guests can stay connected in every villa.

Capacity runs from seven guests to 15, depending on the villa, from small groups of friends to larger parties. Some villas have a separate living room, and each one has its own bedrooms and bathrooms. These are private villas rather than rooms in a hotel building, so each group has its own space.

Mai Khao is a quiet area of Phuket, far from the nightlife of Patong and the busier beach strips further along the island. Mai Khao Beach, about 1.1 km away, is a long stretch of sand that is quieter than the beaches around Patong and Karon. Nearby villages such as Ban Yid and Ban Suanma Prao give the area a more local feel than the resort strips.

Phuket International Airport is about 2 km away, and the property offers an airport transfer. Closer to hand are the Splash Jungle Water Park, the Flying Trapeze Phuket Adventure KidzSole and the Mai Khao Marine Turtle Foundation, a turtle conservation centre in the area. Naiyang national Park and Sirinart Naiyang Park are also nearby, and the Ni Yang Night Market is one of the local markets to visit.

For a day out, Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), one of the best-known temples on the island, is about 31.5 km away, and the Big Buddha on a hilltop is about 33.5 km away. Patong is the place for nightlife, while Kata and Nai Harn are beaches to visit on another day. Mai Khao itself is the quieter choice, with the sea and the airport both close at hand.
