Street food stalls are common around the market and along the main roads. Don Mueang International Airport is 9.8 km away.

The Chatuchak Weekend Market, 4.2 km from the hotel, is one of the largest markets in Thailand, with clothes, crafts, plants and street food. Its stalls spread over many lanes, so it takes a full morning to see much of it. Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre, and the Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum, lie further into the city and are easy to reach by skytrain.

A full day could begin at the Weekend Market, which is open on weekends, followed by the skytrain into the city. In the evening, the Grand Palace, 12.3 km from the hotel, and Wat Arun, a temple on the Chao Phraya riverbank, make a good pairing. Metered taxis are easy to find on the main roads for trips further afield.
