Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum that shows Thai silk and art, and Siam Paragon, a large shopping mall with an aquarium, are both in central Bangkok.

A day could begin at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, which is best visited at the weekend, then continue to Jim Thompson House and Siam Paragon, and end with street food at The Street Ratchada night market near the hotel. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun, on the Chao Phraya River, make a longer trip for another day. Afterwards, the Huai Khwang MRT station, 450 m from the hotel, offers a simple way back to the Blue Line and the rest of the city.
