Khlong Khong Beach is 2.4 km away, another stretch of sand on the same island, and Lanta Old Town, 5.1 km away, is a traditional settlement on Koh Lanta Yai. Scooters and songthaews are the usual way to cover the island's distances, and the beaches are spread along its coast. Each one makes a different day out.

For a full day out, Mu Ko Lanta National Park lies 9.5 km away, a marine park with beaches and hiking trails, and snorkelling and diving are popular around the island. Khlong Chak Waterfall makes a good second day out, and the island's beaches offer a different day of sea and sand. Krabi International Airport is 62.5 km away on the mainland, so the trip from the airport ends with the boat crossing to the island.
