Mai Morn Resort

Some rooms at Mai Morn Resort overlook the pool and others the garden. Depending on the room, you can expect air conditioning, a shower, a kettle and a refrigerator, and some rooms also have a whirlpool bathtub. Rooms with a garden view look over the grounds, and rooms with a pool view look onto the pool. Several rooms have a private bathroom with toiletries and towels.

The Standard Room measures 20 m² and sleeps up to five guests. The Deluxe Pool View Queen Room measures 44 m² and has a king bed. Beds are king, double or single, depending on the room, and some rooms include complimentary spa access.

Mai Morn Resort has an outdoor swimming pool and a children's swimming pool, along with a spa, a spa and sauna, a hot tub, massage treatments and a solarium. The bar and restaurants are on site, and buffet and continental breakfast are served.

The front desk is open 24 hours and offers currency exchange, luggage storage, safety deposit boxes, laundry and dry cleaning services, and an airport transfer.

Tours can be arranged, and bicycle rental and car hire are offered, along with a taxi service. Free parking is available on site, free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and the resort also has meeting and banquet facilities, a babysitting service and a family room. English, Mandarin and Thai are spoken.

Mai Morn Resort is in the Vichit area of Phuket Town, the island's main town, where local markets and everyday life are close at hand. The resort is on Pattanatongtin Road, and Phuket International Airport is 29.5 km away. The best-known beaches lie further out on the west coast, so this is a calmer base than the beach resorts, and the town's daily life is easy to explore on foot, with its shophouses and markets close together.

Chaithararam Temple, known locally as Wat Chalong, is Phuket's most important Buddhist temple and lies 4.6 km away. The Big Buddha, a large statue on a hill, is 7.7 km away, and Chaloem Phrakiat Park, a large public park, is also nearby. Phuket Town itself has Sino-Portuguese shophouses and local food stalls. The resort offers car hire and bicycle rental for getting around.

For a full day, combine Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha with a swim at Kata Beach, 9.6 km away, or at Patong Beach, 10 km away, the island's best-known beach resort area. Karon Beach, a long sandy beach on the same stretch of coast, is also nearby. After a day out, the spa and hot tub at the resort make a good finish.
