Ao Tanot Bay is another bay worth a visit, and the King Chulalongkorn monument, honouring Rama V, is on the island. Ko Tao is reached by boat, and the nearest airports are Samui Airport on Ko Samui, 66.3 km away across the water, and Chumphon Airport on the mainland, 85.7 km away.

A day can start with a swim at Sairee Beach, then continue to the viewpoint for a view over the beach and Koh Nang Yuan.
