Jim Thompson House, the former home of the American silk entrepreneur, is 350 m away and makes a good first stop. The Ratchathewi BTS Station is 450 m away, and Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre with an aquarium, is 1 km from the apartment. Ferry piers on the Chao Phraya river, Sapan Charoenpol and Hua Chang, are a short walk for those heading towards the old city.

A day could start at Jim Thompson House, continue by skytrain to Siam and then take a river ferry from the nearby piers towards the old city, where the Grand Palace is 3.9 km away. Wat Arun, the temple with its tall prang on the river, can also be reached by the same ferries. Back in the Siam area, the skytrain returns guests to the Ratchathewi BTS Station in a few stops, with hotels, shops and food stalls lining the nearby roads.
