A good day here can start at Wat Mangkon Kamalawat and continue along Yaowarat Road for street food and shops, with the Grand Palace as a longer trip across the city. The lanes near the hotel also hold small shrines and markets, so an afternoon of wandering the side streets is a simple plan. Because the district is compact, the temples and markets close to the hotel are all within a short walk.
